Mohawk Valley Trading Company - Maple Syrup Review

I recently received a box full of products from The Mohawk Valley Trading Company that I will be reviewing in my next four posts. I received one jar each of Raw Honey, Wildflower Honey, and Buckwheat Honey. I also received one bottle of Maple Syrup. I will be doing my review today on the Maple Syrup.

The Mohawk Valley Trading Company (MVTC) offers the highest quality organic and unprocessed natural products they can produce. Their raw honey and maple syrup is used and endorsed by two of by the world’s most recognized chefs: Bobby Flay recommends our maple syrup and Tom Colicchio recommends our honey. Not only does Tom say their honey is one of his “Personal Pantry Essentials” and “Favorite Gifts” but he also keeps “a jar of the stuff on my desk at all times.”

Their raw honey is unpasteurized, unfiltered, unprocessed, unheated, unblended and is available in 5 varieties;

Wildflower Honey, Buckwheat Honey, Apple Blossom Honey, Orange Blossom Honey, and Blueberry Blossom Honey.

The Mohawk Valley Trading Company's Maple Syrup is Grade A, Robust, Dark, Pure Maple Syrup made primarily from sugar maple sap.

I was very excited to do this review. I love pure maple syrup, and after learning more about this company I was even more excited to get my items. Everything came very well packaged, and arrived very quickly. I received a 16oz glass bottle of Maple Syrup. I immediately started thinking of what I could use it on. This morning for breakfast I was trying out a new recipe from Jade Louise Designs called German Pancakes. I decided this would be a perfect time to test out the maple syrup. 

It tastes amazing! It is very sweet and, although I used a lot, you do not need a lot of it on whatever you are eating. I really enjoyed this syrup. My 23 month old son had his German Pancakes with The Mohawk Valley Trading Company Maple Syrup, too. I asked him if it was good, his response, "Uh huh!" while he didn't stop taking bites. My husband, who doesn't usually like maple syrup, tried it and he said it was really good.

I may have to hide this bottle of syrup from my family. It is much better than what we normally grab from the grocery store. If you would like to purchase your own bottle of Maple Syrup just stop The Mohawk Valley Trading Company.
